Sadhana Wellness Course (an introduction to Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda)

Getting to know yourself through Ayurveda 
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions? 

  • Why do certain foods irritate you despite supposedly being good for you?

  • How do my family members have bad diets and have no issues (mine is healthy but I have health problems)?

  • How does my work partner remain so calm under pressure, whereas I get irritated?

  • Why am I not slim like my siblings even though we have the same diet?

The good news is that Ayurveda can help explain why. 

Ayurveda is an ancient unique science in which the recognition of an individual’s constitution is at its core. In this course the above questions will be explained and the variations to normal health will not just be solved but an individual plan to get back on track will be given through: 

  • An understanding of Nutrition through Ayurveda

  • A daily diet

  • A daily routine

Beginners Yoga 

Although we all remain beginners in Yoga, this course is a foundation. Through the course, the why, what, where, when and how of Yoga will be addressed. Among the  most common reasons why Yoga is not practiced are: 

  • I’m not flexible enough to do Yoga

  • I can’t stay still

  • I haven’t got the patience

  • I don’t have the body for Yoga

  • I’m too old to start

All of these are perfectly normal and relevant reasons, however, none of them are true. From this course you will amongst other benefits: 

  • Have a daily practice (not too much time)

  • Breath better

  • Sleep better

  • Stress less

"My Journey of Yoga so far...
I first walked into Damien's yoga studio in Oct 2017.  After being  diagnosed with Crohn's Disease I was very physically and mentally weak.  I originally began yoga to provide an outlet away from my illness and everyday stresses.

What I have discovered is that yoga is much more.  Through yoga I have learnt how to breathe and through this  I have understood how to relax fully, mind, body and to feel safe.  It was a little fearful at first being still but now it's nice and peaceful. Through my journey of yoga I have found my true inner self, sometimes raw and confronting...but yoga has helped developed my inner strength and confidence to be comfortable with just being me.

My Crohn's disease is now in remission and I honestly credit that to yoga. I practice everyday whilst learning new things along the way and love it more than I ever thought I would. 

Yoga is my freedom, my strength, and my safety. I look forward to continuing my journey of yoga and learning skills that I can apply to my everyday life.  Thanks Damien for shinning a light on yoga."
